What's Included in a Home Inspection

Technology Based Inspections

Radon Analysis

Using a patented radon detection technology, Pinnacle Radon Testing Equipment delivers industry leading radon counting sensitivity of 30 counts per hour per pCi/L. To put this into context, this is 15 times more “counting sensitive” than the minimum standard (2 cph/pCi/L) set by ANSI/AARST and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Radon testing is the only way to determine if your home has high levels of radon gas. Radon is a radioactive, odorless gas that seeps into homes from the soil or water, and can contaminate indoor air. The EPA considers radon to be a serious environmental health problem and recommends testing all homes for radon during a sale.

Infrared Thermography

Infrared thermography is a relatively new yet powerful diagnostic technique in the home inspection industry. Infrared Thermography is used to perform surveys of the thermal and moisture envelope of a home and is an effective tool for examining the structural components of buildings, water intrusion, HVAC duct leakage and insulation deficiencies in attics.

Drone Roof Inspection

Drones in today’s world can be outfitted with thermal imaging cameras, moisture meters, thermometers, and gas sensors to help perform specialty inspections. We use drones to inspect areas where safety is a concern or where it is impossible to see what we may need to from the roof, ladder or ground.
